Log the first baseline
Make several runs without changing the vehicle or tune. For each, record:

Use Tuning and Modifications only after the control baseline is stable. Change one field and repeat the same venue and mode.
Do not buy a new vehicle after one loss. Use Starter Vehicles when a documented limitation shows the current platform does not fit your goal.
Compare a tuning change
Save the baseline. Make one small, reversible change. Confirm the value persists after leaving the menu, then repeat several runs. Compare the range, not the single best result.
If launch improves but the vehicle stops gaining useful speed too early, the change may trade finish performance for early acceleration. If launch worsens and the vehicle remains underused at the finish, reverse or reduce the change. Move into public competition
